There's nothing better than slow cooked meat that effortlessly falls off the bone – here's a mouthwatering recipe that'll give you just that!
For this recipe, we've gone with only the finest quality beef – Certified Angus Beef Short Ribs, coated with Natural Spices BBQ Seasoning. We've also used McCain Mashed Potatoes, Paysan Breton cooking cream, and cherry tomatoes & onions sautéed using La Corvinia olive oil.
Short ribs are cuts of beef that come from a cow's chuck, brisket, plate, or rib areas. They are generally taken from a "short" portion of the rib rather than the full rib since ribs on cows are fairly large.
Slow cooking beef ribs helps break down connective tissue and gives the meat its signature tenderness, and not to forget, yumminess!
Most cuts of beef can be quite fatty. If you'd like to trim down the fat, leave the beef to cool once it's cooked, and then slice away the excess fat.
If you'd like to enhance the flavour of the meat through caramelization, we recommend quickly searing the beef on a frying pan before putting it into the oven.
